Review: December 2014 Splendies Subscription Box

Happy 2015 beautiful readers! Since I was back with my parents over the holidays, I didn't get the chance to look at my December Splendies until a few days ago.  For those of you who didn't get a chance to check out my November Splendies Post, Splendies is a monthly underwear subscription package.  For $12 USD a month, they will send you 3 pairs of undies  to your mailbox.  If you subscribe now, they will give you $4 USD off your first box using the code SPLENDIES, which will come out to $8 USD for your first box. There is also a plus size subscription called Volupties, which gives you the same cute variety of undies for $17USD a month.

I really love the variety that Splendies have given me the last few months, especially considering that because there is such a large range of colors and styles that there are so many different types of combinations each month. I thought this month was a really good mix of cute and sexy, plus who doesn't love some holiday undies?

When Splendies said that they were going to include a holiday themed pair of undies in their December pack I was a little eh about it, because I knew I wouldn't wear a cheesy pair of christmas underwear besides on Christmas. But I really loved the pair they sent me:

Look at that adorable penguin! I love the style, it's a boy short style underwear with sort of a low cut.  The material feels like a nice blend, giving it some stretch without uncomfortably trapping heat.  Cute and totally comfortable.  The brand is called Love Libby, and I found some of their products on this website. While the website name sounds a littttttle sketchy ( I mean really, pantiesforless?) the products look legitimate and there's a decent variety. This specific pair of boy shorts is called "Happy Penguin!" and comes in this red as well as White (risky...).  It is listed at $4 USD right now.

This was an interesting pair.  While the material is not my favorite (very spandex-y), the design was very cute. The pink accents on the black panty is cute and not overwhelming, I especially love the cute little heart charm on the back side.  The ribbons you see on either side are actually supposed to be tied up, so that the sides of the underwear are ruched  like how it's ruched down the back.  I know a lot of people like the ruching trend, but I don't particularly feel anything for it. On the front of the tag it included a website (Slightly NSFW) to access the collection, which I thought was a really nice touch.  I found this specific pair on their website here where you can see pictures of it on.  Tres Sexy does not sell to individuals online but it does look like they have a catalog so you can give them a call to order.

This was also another one from Tres Sexy, and this was #6065. This one was definitely my favorite this month. The material is SO soft. It actually reminds me a lot of a pair I got in my first pack like 2 months ago, but just different enough where I don't feel like it was redundant.  It's a very soft lace thong with white trim, which makes me feel super feminine and sexy.  While the quality might not be 100% identical, it feels just as soft as the "LUXE" preview that Splendies gave subscribers last month, which were suppose to be from a "luxury brand". If you're not a big fan of thongs, Splendies gives you the option to opt out of thongs for $2 more (I assume it's some sort of handling charge) so that's nice too.  I especially like the two little bows in the front with the tiny cut outs. Since this is the same brand as the last pair (but to me the quality was much better) I found it on the same website which you can see here and it comes in several other colors. 

I enjoyed December more than the November pack-- it was festive and cute, but of course it depends on your "underwear personality'.  for $12 a month, Splendies is a great addition to your mail if you enjoy surprises and having a ton of cute underwear.  They come in S M L as well as a "Volupties" subscription for plus sized women.  Splendies is also rolling out a "LUXE" subscription which will cost you $35USD per month*** for a subscription of luxury brand underwears.  Do you think this is a subscription you would be into?
